WINE PRODUCTION AT THE RIVIERA DEL BRENTA
The wine production at the Riviera del Brenta dates back to ancient times; the first findings date back to the Etruscan tradition and continued during the Roman age.
Vineyards at the country mansions satisfied Venice need of wine. Soon it started to be exported abroad.
The close relationship between Padua and Venice testify both the economical and qualitative importance of the wines produced in the lands between the Riviera del Brenta and the Roman net-like roads. Wine shops appeared just after the Second World War: wine producers took there their wines and started investing on new, sophisticated technologies.
Producing quality wine becomes a must, wine shops awareness increases accordingly to the market demand, which becomes the meeting point for producers and consumers. Wine shops in fact control 92% of the entire D.O.C wine production.(doc = mark guaranteeing the quality of a wine)

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
• At 10.00am: Meeting in Malcontenta and (optional: entrance fee € 10,00 p.p.) guided visit to VILLA FOSCARI known as "LA MALCONTENTA", designed by Andrea Palladio in 1560. Its interiors are completely frescoed by Giambattista Franco and Giambattista Zelotti. Once onboard the tour will slowly continue along the placid canal, admiring the majestic Villas and mansions of the Riviera del Brenta.
• At 11.30am: Arrival in Mira, optional visit to VILLA BARCHESSA VALMARANA (entrance fee 5,00 € p.p.), which houses many paintings from the Venetian Baroque School of Michelangelo Schiavoni, or to VILLA WIDMANN (entrance fee 5,00 € p.p.), sumptuous residence dating to the XVIII century, designed by Andrea Tirali and frescoes by Giuseppe Angeli.
• At 12.30am : Lunch onboard. Fish menu to taste traditional Venetian recipies of the region.
• At 2.30pm : Stop at the town of Dolo for a visit to the antique Squero (the place where boats were built and launched), and to the water Mills, dating back to the XVI century, which significantly testify to one of most ancient cultural traditions of this land.• At 4.00pm: Arrival in the town of Strà. “La Dolce Vita” is one of our most prestigious boats: a floating luxury hotel 21mt long. Built in France in 1897 as a coal cargo, it was converted into a luxury yacht 30 years ago. From then, it cruised the canals of France and then those of the Venetian lagoon.
Programs on itineraries using La Dolce Vita boat, can entirely be custom made. From the Terrace you will admire the Lagoon. The yacht is equipped with a relaxing area with sofas and with 3 intimate cabins.

Cruise to the Islands of the Venetian Lagoon
BURANO, MURANO AND TORCELLO
Here you are in the romantic Venice, where water and sky melt together, the city of great sailors and explorers, painters, musicians and poets. Welcome to Venice and its many “calle”(narrow streets), “campi” (once green fields), canals: 118 islands, 400 bridges and many many cats!
PROGRAM
• At 08.30am: Boarding at Fusina Terminal dock or at the Zattere banks(Venice)..
• Navigating along Vittorio Emanuele III canal towards the Giudecca canal admiring the magnificent churches like the Redentore Church, the Zittelle church or the majestic church of Santa
Maria della Salute. Then, suddenly, St. Mark’s Basin will open before you.
Cruisers will then admire the famous St. Mark’s Square and its Bell Tower, the Ducal Palace, the famous Sigh Bridge and the entire bank known as Riva dei Sette Martiri up to Sant Elena’s Gardens, famous for the Biennale.
From there the boat will coast the Arsenale banks. The Arsenale was in ancient times the greatest navl shipyard in the world.
Arrival at TORCELLO island, once called Turricellum (little tower), extending among shoals, kestrels and bog grasses, for a tour and an optional visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta which preserves ancient mosaics belonging to the Veneto- Byzantine School of the XII and XIII century, (entrance fee 4,00 € p.p.), the church of Santa Fosca and the Oratory of St. Mark’s.
Departure for BURANO, a little extremely picturesque fisher village, famous all over the world for its coloured houses and the thousand-year lace tradition. Guided tour to the Island.
• At 1.00pm lunch on board: typical Venetian dishes will be served, like aperitif: aperitif with Bellini fruit drinks, prowns and marinated anchovies starters, Fish fruits pasta typical of the Venetian tradition, fried sea food and fresh vegetables, local Prosecco wine, still and fizzy water.
• After lunch arrival at MURANO, the island of blown glass art. Visit to one of the most interesting glass factories accompanied by the comments of a glass master.
• Ore 5.30 /6.00pm arrival at Fusina terminal, disembark of participants and end of journey.

Cruising among the Venetian Islands
SAN GIORGIO ISLAND, THE ARMENIAN ISLAND, MURANO AND LAZZARETO NUOVO ISLANDS
Discover one of the most intriguing and fascinating sides of Venice!
PROGRAM
• At 08.30am: Boarding at Fusina Terminal dock.
• At 09.30am: Arrival at the Island of the Armenians and visit (optional, entrance fee 6,00 € p.p), to the monastery founded in the 17th century.
It represents one of the most important Armenian cultural sites in the world where it will be possible to visit and admire the art gallery, two libraries, an archaeology museum other than a priceless collection of manuscripts. The Island gave hospitality to the poet Lord Byron. The cruise continues towards SAN GIORGIO’s Island, in ancient times known as the Island of Cypresses. The Church of San Giorgio Maggiore is one of Andrea Palladio’s most important sacred architectural works. It was started in 1566 and finished in 1610 by architect Simon Sorella.
• at 1.00pm, on board lunch with typical Venetian cuisine dishes.
• After lunch, arrival at MURANO Island. Visit to one of the most interesting glass factories accompanied by the comments of a glass master.
Navigation towards the LAZZARETTO NUOVO island (entrance fee € 3,50 p.p.), which is situated in front of the Island of St. Erasmo, in the central part of the lagoon.
Archaeological foundings like arrowheads, prove the presence of man already during the Bronze Age, although the first written document dates back to the year 1015. The island got its present name in 1468, when a decree of the Serenissima Republic decided the build here a “lazaret” (hospital for contagious diseases), to keep under medical control all those men and goods suspected to convey the plague. It was named “NUOVO” (new), to distinguish it from the OLD one, which already existed and was placed in the Southern Lagoon, by the Lido, where the disease was cured.
This was considered such a particular and dangerous place, that a ship placed before the entrance to the “Lazaret”, showed a flag indicating the limit beyond which it was forbidden to proceed. This island was then used for military purposes during the First World War and was dismantled in 1975.

The slow flowing along the enlightened Lagoon, will let tourists admire the marvellous palaces along the Giudecca Canal and St. Mark’s Basin, like the Molino Stucky, the Redentore Church, St. Giorgio Maggiore Church, The Madonna della Salute Basilica and St. Mark’s Square.
• At 8.30pm: Dinner will be served on board with the following fish menu: prowns and marinated anchovies starters, Fish fruits pasta typical of the Venetian tradition, fried sea food and fresh vegetables, local Prosecco wine, still and fizzy water.
